So, what is GOOBI? GOOBI stands for Get Out Of Bed Incentive.
You'll know when you have GOOBI. When you have it, your eyes pop open before the alarm clock rings. You jump out of bed and say to yourself: "Yay! I get to do this again today and people are going to PAY me to do it! How cool is that?"

OK, so not every day may be like that. To be honest, I have serious GOOBI in my life. I love what I do for a living. Some days, however, the server is down and you have to spend hours on the phone with tech support. Some days you have the flu or a cold and you just want to go back to bed.

But on the whole I still have to pinch myself when I realize how much I love what I do.

The path to GOOBI is not short, fast or even easy, but we are driven by the passion for what we want to do. Sometimes there are detours where we have to take a job or go through a process that isn't fun before we arrive at GOOBI. But I will tell you a little secret...

...nearly any job can give you GOOBI, because GOOBI is something that lives in your heart and head. Your attitude often determines the level of GOOBI in your life.

For instance. Let's say you are working a job that you are good at, but isn't your passion. GOOBI can be found even there when you tell yourself, "I get to do this job and I can choose to excel at it because it will take me down the path to my ultimate GOOBI.

Got GOOBI? If not, change something to make GOOBI happen in your life. Change your job, change your attitude. Find a mentor. Take a first step. Lengthen your stride. GOOBI is worth it and so are you.
